School Dinners
Our delicious school meals are cooked on site by Oxfordshire County Council catering. They provide a 3 week rolling menu:
Vegan options are available on request. If your child’s diet does not suit any of the menus due to food allergies or intolerances, religious or cultural beliefs, please inform the school office so that we can contact the catering team and alternatives can be made available.
Lunches are ordered the week before by a Thursday via Parentmail.
Dinners cost £2.90 a day (£14.50 a week) and should be paid for via your Parentmail Account.
If your child is in Foundation, Year 1 or Year 2 or is eligible for Free School Meals you MUST still book their dinners online, but there will be no payment necessary.
The School Dinner Register can be located under the "Accounts Tab" in Parentmail.
Please make your selections and proceed to the "Payment Tab" and add the necessary funds to your account.
Healthy eating and Packed lunches:
Packed lunches should include a drink which is separate from their water bottle, specifically for lunch time. This can be a carton of fruit juice or more water but please do not pack fizzy drinks. We encourage children to eat healthily and would appreciate your co-operation. Please try to include more healthy items in this lunchbox so your child gets the energy and nutrients they need to grow, develop and learn.
For example: carrot or cucumber sticks, fruit, yoghurt, wrap…….
Each day a healthy packed lunch should have:
- One portion of fruit or vegetable eg. cucumber, tomatoes, apple, raisins…
- A portion of dairy food eg. yoghurt, cheese, milk……..
- A portion of starchy food eg. bread, wrap, pasta, rice, couscous….
- A portion of meat, fish, eggs or beans eg. ham, chicken, egg, chickpeas…..
- A drink eg. water, no added sugar squash….
We request the following should not be included in lunchboxes – sweets, chocolate and crisps. As these foods are high in fat, sugar and salt which can be harmful to the health of your child. If you want to include a small treat add a biscuit, some popcorn, cup cake or piece of homemade cake.
We are a nut free school - it is important we do not bring nut products into school as we have members of our school community with serious nut allergies.
