Environmental Day

On Friday 12th May the whole school took part in an Environmental Day based on Protecting Endangered Species.

All the children learnt about some animals and plants that are endangered, what endangered means and how we can help protect endangered species.

As part of the day all classes had a workshop with Bassistry Arts, moving, singing and playing instruments to songs about the environment.

Every class also did a Big Tidy Up of an area around the school and village.

Year 6
Year 6 picked litter from along Hunter's Field.

After learning about endangered species, Year 6 designed their own posters.

Every child in school took part in a music workshop as part of Environmental Day run by a group called Bassistry.

Marcel and Phillippe taught the children about melody and rhythm, we sang songs about caring for our world, played games and used the percussion instruments.

Marcel and Phillippe are really talented musicians and it is such a privilege for the children to be able to experience quality live music.

Thank you to FOSS for funding this for the children.
